I just booked a bunch of flights so I’ve been on the hunt for travel-friendly pieces. Knits are ideal. They don’t crease! That’s why I fell in love with this Express maxi skirt. You can wear it with a loose top and espadrilles or flats for daytime. Then you can swap your accessories for a sexy night out (hello thigh high slit!).
Even though the Olsen twins are fashion’s darlings, I was inspired by their sis, Elizabeth Olsen, for my nighttime look. She recently wore a black and white dress to The Avengers premiere. It was so simple, yet so chic. I went with separates, pairing my maxi skirt with an Express cold-shoulder tee (confession: I bought three different colors from the store last week, including this striped one). A collar necklace fit in with the minimalist feel. And I used the slit as an opportunity to show off my fave lace-up heels.
