What’s in My Fashion Week Beauty Bag + a Giveaway!

Sydne Style hosts a giveaway with CVSPacking for fashion week is always tough. This morning before my flight I was still throwing in last minute shoes! But when it comes to beauty, it’s super simple. Last night I headed to CVS and picked up 13 beauty essentials to throw in my bag to get me through New York Fashion Week. Since I’m a CVS Beauty Club member, I also earned $5 ExtraBucks Rewards from my purchases since I spent over $50. I  definitely plan on using them when I need some extra items while I’m on the go. And I’ve teamed up with CVS Beauty Club to give three lucky readers a $50 gift card to shop for their own beauty essentials! Follow the directions in the box below to enter. *This giveaway has ended.*

I usually get gels before fashion week to avoid chipping while I’m traveling. But occasionally, a nail gets snagged when I’m trying to zip up a dress or pair of shoes. So I always keep a nail file, like Beauty 360 Shape-Defining Nail File close by. Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil is also a life savior. It keeps your cuticles moisturized and smells delish.

While I’ll sometimes opt for a bright red or pink, often during fashion week I look for a more neutral color that goes with my multiple outfit changes. CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in “Dusty Rose” adds just a touch of color. After giving the color coat a minute to dry it stays throughout the day. You just have to reapply the clear topcoat to keep your lips moisturized.

There are multiple essentials I use for my eyes. For starters, I carry eyelash glue in case my falsies come off (I usually wear them every day in fashion week). I prefer a black lash adhesive so when I reapply it just looks like eyeliner. After I reapply I’ll us an eyelash curler, how cute is this Beauty 360 pink one? For more touch-ups I bring a mascara (I just picked up CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara at CVS). Sometimes when it’s hot out, black will smudge under my eyes. So I use Makeup Remover Swabs to clean it up. They’re probably the most convenient things ever! In case I rub off too much makeup, I’ll pat a little concealer under my eyes, like Nuance Salma Hayek Front & Center Concealer & Brightener. Finally, I bring along Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On. You can apply it over your makeup for an instant refresh.

Ok, so quick trick here: Instead of stuffing a comb in your purse, you can bring the much smaller Beauty 360 Ultimate Brow Definer. Not only does it tame your brows but you can also use it on your hair for flyaways! When it’s super humid out, I’ll bring L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold with me, too.

Cleanser
Running around all day leaves me craving a refresh. I have mini CVS hand sprays in my bag, but you can also buy All Terrain Hand Sanz Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer Spray online. It has aloe to keep your hands moisturized. And for days I’m out from the morning to late night, I’ll bring a mini deodorant, either Almay Sensitive Skin Roll-On  or Secret Anti-Perspirant Deodorant.

I can’t wait to bring you along with me on my fashion week adventures! And don’t forget to sign up for CVS Beauty Club next time you’re stocking up on beauty essentials, you’ll get 10% off your purchase!

I use those Almay makeup eraser sticks – so convenient for taking away mascara smudges.
