NYFW Day 1: Snow Bright

 Fashion Week

Sydne Style shows the best new york fashion week street style in faux fur coats from day 1 snowstormDay 1 of New York Fashion Week can be summed up in two words: Snow Bright. It was white everywhere and I used fuzzy accents for a pop of color. This season I’m doing my fashion week recap a little bit differently and bringing you inside my day. I hope you like the play-by-play!

NYFW Day 1

{8am} Wake up to a winter wonderland. Snap photos from my room at Nomo Soho. See my first meeting has been canceled. Snuggle back in bed.
{9am} Check my phone and see my second meeting is canceled. Order room service. Snap some more pics of the storm from bed.
{11am} Finally decide I can brave the snow and head to a styling suite. Pick out some super cute pieces I can’t wear yet. Too cold!
{1:30pm} Shoot my morning outfit with Falcon. Almost fall three times. Lose my hat once. Scream “OMG it’s freezing” ten times. Keep telling myself how much I love my job.
{3:30pm} An picks me up for our first show. I’m still shooting my evening look and shivering outside.
{3:45pm} Finally get in the car.
{4pm} Arrive to Tadashi Shoji
(4:30pm} The show begins. I’m drooling over the pink fur jackets and noting the red rose dress for next Valentine’s Day.
{5pm} We go to a John Frieda event. I realize I forgot to eat lunch and devour three mini burgers in under three minutes.
{7pm} Tinashe gets on stage. Her voice is insanely good!
{9pm} I shower, order room service (third night in a row!) and catch up on emails.
{11pm} Apply a face mask. Watch half a Law & Order SVU re-run. Lights out.

As you can tell from this mini timeline, fashion week isn’t glamorous 24/7! But the shows are incredible. I feel like the luckiest girl to be able to watch some of my favorite designers send their upcoming collections down the runway. I have an exciting lineup for Day 2 so fingers crossed the weather lets up a bit. I’ll be sharing Insta Stories live on Instagram and runway recaps on Facebook.
