As much as I love traveling, I’ve realized that sometimes you don’t have to go very far to have a true getaway. Case in point: this past weekend I escaped to Terranea Resort. It’s only a little over an hour drive from my West Hollywood home. But I felt like I was hundreds of miles away.

If you follow me on Insta Stories, you already saw our amazing weekend from the ocean views to decadent food. But I also wanted to share some of my favorites from the trip:

• The views: Everywhere you looked you saw gorgeous cliffs, crashing waves and sun-kissed flowers. We had our coffee while taking a coastal walk and it was so incredibly serene.
• Dog-friendly atmosphere: Bunny Bell was welcomed with a gift bag and our dog-friendly hotel room made it so easy to take her out at any time (it also had a view even though it was on the ground floor).
• The activities: There are endless activities to choose from. My favorite was a sea salt workshop (they make their own salt on the property!) and watching pelicans getting released into the wild (Terranea partnered with International Bird Rescue for World Oceans Day).
