The theme of my New Year’s resolution this year was to stop and smell the roses. I’m always so caught up with work and social media that I wanted to make time to appreciate the little things in life. So when Philosophy asked me to partner with them for their new Amazing Grace Ballet Rose collection, I leaped at the opportunity.

I’ve always been obsessed with anything and everything roses. My favorite flowers are yellow roses. I have rose scented candles on my nightstand. And my friend from Bulgaria brings back fresh rose oil when she visits home over the holidays. Philosophy’s new collection is inspired by the beautiful femininity of their classic amazing grace fragrance. And the addition of roses makes it my ideal scent.
By incorporating the rose smell into my daily routine with a fragrance, body lotion and shower gel, I’ve been constantly reminded of my New Year’s resolution these past few weeks. It’s helped me to live with grace in all aspects of my life…
When I breathe in the feminine, floral scent, I’m reminded of the importance of “me time.” I spray it before I start my morning meditation to fully experience gratitude. While rose is the main note, the fragrance is also layered with peony and lychee with a musky wood finish. It’s very soft and subtle so I can easily wear it from day to night.
I’ve been a long-time fan of Philosophy body emulsions. I generally apply them after the shower and before bed to firm and soften my skin. One of my favorite parts is the messaging on the bottles. This collection reminds me of the virtue I struggle with the most: patience. I’ve always been so focused on immediate gratification. So as I apply the lotion I try to do it slowly, and think about how it’s okay to move at different rhythms throughout your life.
One of my daily affirmations has been to focus on authenticity. Every morning I look in the mirror and say “I give up being perfect for being authentic. I will be myself, I will love myself, and others will too.” The scent reminds me to carry out this intention throughout the day.
I often get some of my best ideas in the shower. There is something so calming about running water that it enhances my creativity. In the past few weeks, I’ve been using my new Philosophy gel as a body cleanser and the scent has taken my creative ideas even further. I just brainstormed a new blog post during my shower last night!
Layering all three products makes the subtle scent last from day to night. If you want to stop and smell the roses, too, make sure to enter my giveaway! You can also buy the collection exclusively at Ulta and Philosophy.com. And with that I leave you with the inspiring message on my new favorite perfume:
“Grace gives you the quiet strength to move to your own rhythm.”
