We’re almost a full week into October and I still can’t believe it’s here. Maybe it’s the shorts weather that is making me forget it’s actually Fall. Or maybe it’s the fact that I haven’t been able to go home since August. But whatever the reason, I’m trying to get more excited for sweater weather. So I decided to make a list of seven things I’m coveting for October. What’s on your list?

1. Sweater Weather and Sales

I’m slowly starting to bring new sweaters into my wardrobe. How pretty is this bright pink one? Neiman Marcus is having a great Fall sale this weekend so it’s a good time to stock up.

2. Cuddling Up with a Good Book

I started reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo on my plane home from Mexico. It’s so good! It follows the life of an A-list actress and her rise to fame… with all the husbands she married on the way.

3. Wrapping Myself in Scarves

4. Accessorizing with Brooches

I’m thrilled brooches have made such comeback in the fashion world. I can’t wait to layer a bunch on my jackets and sweater. How cute are all these animal pins?

5. Decorating in Rose Gold

I can’t stop ordering decor for my apartment (I’m so excited to move back this month!). In addition to anything and everything marble, I’ve been drawn towards rose gold decorative pieces. I’m dying over these rose gold hangers and  metallic acrylic tray.

6. Staying Moisturized with Salves

When the weather gets colder, I start to moisturize more. It hasn’t gotten cold but I have been dry from all my recent travel. I’ve recently been obsessed with multi-purpose salves. You can use them on everything from your lips to dry skin (or irritated skin, which I’ve had since my bicycle accident). I’ve always been a fan of C.O, Bigelow and recently started using Glossier as well.

7. Apple Picking

Considering I went to Boston for college, I still can’t believe I’ve never been apple picking. I’m heading East tonight so I’m hoping I get a chance to do it this weekend. Till then, I guess there are always apple bags.
