I feel like I say this every month but can you believe it’s already November?! For me, this month means new beginnings. I finally moved home this week! But amidst unpacking and organizing, I’m already starting to get holiday party invites. So I’m thinking about pieces that I can get a lot of use out of. What’s on your list this month?
1. Ballerina Inspired
I did ballet for ten years. I remember feeling so fancy as I lace up my ballet slippers for my first point lesson. So needless to say I’m obsessed with this season’s ballet trend. A wrap sweater is a grown-up way to do the trend. This one comes in ballerina pink but I prefer the muted gray.
2. Root Touch-ups
I started getting gray hair way too early. I haven’t had time to visit my colorist so I’m searching for new ways to hide my grays. I’ve been obsessed with Oribe’s dry texturizing spray for years. So I’m thinking of trying their root touch up.
3. Art for the Home
My favorite part about redesigning a home is the artwork. I’m doing one of my own paintings and I commissioned a few pieces of art from newer artists (I can’t wait to share everything!). My incredible photographer friend, Gray Malin, just launched his new series. So I’m deciding which piece to add to my new home. How adorable are these pink balloon llamas!?
4. Sock Booties
I didn’t think I’d like this shoe trend when it came out. But I’ve been wearing my over-the-knee sock boots non stop. So I want to add some sock booties to the mix. These come in multiple colors but I’m leaning toward red for the holidays.
5. Polka Dots
The print keeps getting more and more popular… and I have no complaints! A polka dot wrap dress easily work from the office to a holiday party. And I’m definitely digging the under $100 price.
6. Faux Fur Everything
Some people get excited about sweater weather. For me, it’s faux fur. I love wrapping myself in fuzzy coats and blankets. I first saw this bucket bag in black but how fun is the multi-color texture?!
7. Leopard Mania
I found an inexpensive fuzzy leopard coat in Paris last year that I practically lived in all winter. This $129 version is equally as cute.
8. Holiday Jewelry
‘Tis the season to sparkle! Since I have plenty of bling styles, I’m thinking of adding more color to my jewelry chest. I love the red stone print on these tassel earrings.
9. Twirl Worthy Tulle
Back to the ballerina trend… who doesn’t love a tulle skirt? I pair them with everything from t-shirts to turtlenecks. The length on this midi skirt makes the fabric feel more sophisticated.
Happy November!
