My favorite color is yellow. But my favorite color to wear is white. And when the weather warms up, I love wearing all white outfits. The only scary part of wearing all white is spilling (I usually carry around a Tide pen in my purse). But other than that, it’s pretty easy. Here are the style tips I use when wearing all white outfits:
1. Don’t worry about matching your whites.
Unlike black, which can look faded if you pair different shades, it’s ok to match your whites. I never worry about mixing bright white with cream or off-white. When they’re all together, they blend effortlessly. In this outfit, my sweater is more of an eggshell and my jeans are a crisper white. But the croc bag ties them both together.
2. Play around with texture.
Like any monochromatic outfit, it helps to mix textures. When you’re wearing one color from head-to-toe, playing around with knits, denim and suede helps keep the outfit interesting.
3. Feel free to throw some neutrals into the mix.
You don’t have to wear all white to get the all white look. Since I didn’t have a white hat, I used beige. And my mules are more of a light gray then a white. Adding in a few neutrals doesn’t take away from the all white look, but instead can add some interest.
Are you a fan of the all-white look for Spring?
