Remember back at the Oscars when the red carpet was covered in hot pink dresses? Well, the color trend just keeps popping up at every major celebrity event. Some of the most standout gowns at the Met Gala were hot pink from the Kacey Musgraves emulating Barbie to Lady Gaga in her many outfit changes.

More recently, at the Cannes Film Festival, Elle Fanning had a princess moment in a hot pink Vivienne Westwood gown. Chloe Sevigny showed off her legs in a flirty Miu Miu pink dress. Kendall Jenner looked like a pink dream in Giambattista Valli at the amfAR Cannes Gala. And model Madison Headrick wowed in Ashi Studio Haute Couture.

I took inspiration from Madison with a more wearable one shoulder pink dress. Instead of matching my shoes to the dress, I went matchy-matchy with hot pink necklace. Since hot pink is such a statement, I kept the rest of my makeup and accessories neutral. Going head-to-toe pink only works when you’re at a more costume themed event like the Met Gala.
