I’m all about floral dresses right now. I got this yellow floral dress right before my trip to Europe and wore it two ways while I was in Paris. Yellow has forever been my happy color so I’m always looking for new pieces to bring the sunny hue into my wardrobe.
For a dressier event, I took out the blue of the print with a classic pointy pump in a pale blue color (mine are no longer available but I found a very similar blue pump). Then I added contrasting accessories: a classic Chanel bag and more modern gold hoops. I think this outfit would work really well for a summer wedding as well!
To make the dress work for daytime, I turned it into a skirt by layering a sweater on top. The trick to this is making sure your top is a thicker fabric than your dress. It also helps to use a crop top, so you can easily cinch your waist with a belt, like my Gucci belt I wear non stop. Sneakers and a jean jacket gave the outfit a more casual vibe.
My mom wore florals in Paris that day, too. I love her floral button down shirt (similar) and you might recognize her white sweater blazer. It’s the same one that I wore in lavender all throughout our Europe trip!
