One of my favorite shows at New York fashion week is always Tadashi Shoji. Season after season, the designer brings magic to the runway, full of feminine wonder. I especially love how he represents women of all sizes and races with his models. You can watch a video from the runway over on my Instagram post.
When deciding what to wear to the show, I picked a lace Tadashi Shoji dress. It also comes in black but I thought the purple would make a bold statement for fashion week. You might remember my white lace Tadashi Shoji dress from February fashion week. It made me feel like such a princess both at the show and when I wore it again attending an opera in Vienna. Since I loved it so much, I knew I’d fall in love with the sleeveless version. And I was right. I couldn’t stop twirling!
The best part about a lace midi dress is you can wear it year-round. It was still hot in New York, so I let the bold color do the speaking by sticking to nude accessories. When it gets cooler, I’d wear the dress with booties and a leather jacket. You can always tie a graphic tee on top to dress it down like I did on my fashion week IGTV video.
