Happy Monday! I had such a fun Oscars weekend because my mom was in town! Back when I was working at E! and Style Network, she’d occasionally come up to LA to celebrate awards season with me. But it’s been over six years since I took her as my date to a Hollywood party. So it was really special getting to spend time with her for Oscars. We kicked things off at the Cadillac party then went to tea at the Peninsula. And, of course, we chatted all things Oscars fashion. My mom is a forever favorite. But here are more faves that I’ve been obsessed with recently…
5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
#1: kiss from a rose
I’ve been a fan of Votivo for years. Their candles and diffusers are a constant in my home. As we enter spring, I’ve swapped out my winter scents for florals. My favorite is the Votivo Rush of Rose reed diffuser ($44). Unlike other rose fragrances I’ve tried, it’s very soft and subtle.

#1: Oscars Glamour
There were so many gorgeous gowns on the Oscars red carpet. Two of my faves were Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson. Scarlett’s body looked insane in Oscar de la Renta. I loved the metallic details dripping down the front.
I also was a huge fan of Brie because I love a good cape moment. The CELINE by Hedi Slimane gown was the perfect mixture of strength and femininity with its beading and dramatic silhouette.

#3: fresh color
I’ve talked about how I keep my hair color from fading before. My newest obsession is Garnier’s anti-brass toner. I use it about once a week instead of my conditioner. The directions say you should wear gloves but honestly it’s never stained my hands so I skip that step. I leave it on for about three minute in the shower before rinsing off and it leaves my hair super silky and smooth… and helps make sure my color stays.

#4: must read
I didn’t get to read The Handmaid’s Tale before starting the series. But you don’t need to read the first book to enjoy The Testaments if you’re hooked to the Hulu show. The sequel is about two women who have grown up in Gilead as well as Aunt Lydia. Yes, she’s still around! But things are different now. The regime is in trouble. While I miss June and her voice, the three women in this narrative are equally powerful and admirable in their own ways.
The Testaments, $15.60
#5: Valentine Decor
Brooke always has the most gorgeous tablescape ideas. I especially loved the fresh rose garland she created for her Shabby Chic Valentine’s Day Tablescape. It’s such a great idea for a Galentine’s Day brunch, bridal shower or any girlie gathering.
It looks pretty simple to recreate, too. You just need garland, fresh roses and baby’s breath. Then you would tie individual roses with some baby’s breath to the garland. I can’t wait to have my girls over so I can recreate this!
Best weekend! Love being with you and love you.
