I hope you’re all staying inside and being safe. I must admit, I was quite disheartened this weekend when I saw so many images of crowded locations around Los Angeles. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a little fresh air. I take Jack Jack on walks daily. But I go to remote locations and make sure to practice social distancing. It’s so scary to see so many people not taking the precautions we need as a society to get through this pandemic. Ok, that’s enough about the coronavirus. Onto more fun things, like my weekly faves…
5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
#1: Flatform comfort
I had a pair of flatforms from Sole Society that I wore non-stop two summer in a row. After so much wear, it was finally time to replace them. While I still love my chunkier flatform espadrilles, I wanted a slightly more streamline design as my replacement. My new platform espadrilles are just as comfortable as my previous pair that I loved. But the thinner ankle strap feels more feminine for my current tastes.
These black high waist leggings were a bit of a splurge, but they’re worth every penny. My body instantly feels better when I slip them on, thanks to the sculpting fabric. I like how the high waist covers my belly button. And my favorite part is the shiny material. It has a leather leggings look. So when I throw on a sweatshirt or sweater, I feel chic in my workout gear.
I’m a major gold hoops girl. I have them in all different shapes and sizes. My most recent additions are these gold diamond shape hoop earrings. I was initially drawn to the unique shape. But after putting them on, I had a new favorite about the design: the weight! I barely feel them on my ears, which has made them my most recent go-tos.
It’s been raining non-stop in LA. And each time I go outside to walk Jack Jack, I reach for my pink rain jacket. I bought it a couple of years ago and bring it out any time it rains (which usually isn’t this often!). I was happy to see they still make it, just in updated colors. While my pale pink is gone, they have a brighter pink with orange details. They also still have the classic navy, army green and black, which are definitely the practical way to go!
It’s certainly not my favorite but I’m including How Could Shebecause it’s definitely an entertaining read. The book is a cute story about female friendship. The story follows three 30-something friends, who are navigating very different parts of their lives: marriage, career and motherhood. While I couldn’t really relate to any of the characters fully, I enjoyed seeing how their lives intertwined. It also made me text my best friends after I was finished with the book to make sure we were doing a good job about staying in touch!
