Halloween, like everything this year, is going to be quite different. I don’t know how trick or treating will pan out and I certainly can’t imagine any big parties. But I’ve always loved Halloween. So even if I just watch Hocus Pocus with a friend, I still want to play dress up.
I came up with two ways to wear loungewear as a Halloween costume. Not only are these costume ideas super comfy, they also save money. You can wear the loungewear for the rest of the year. And the accessories I found to make them into a costume are super inexpensive!
Have you heard that Zoe Kravitz is going to play Catwoman in the new Batman movie? I can’t wait to see her outfits! I had her on my mind when thinking of how I can stay comfy and still look chic in a Halloween costume. My lounge jumpsuit is seriously the softest thing ever. All you need are some cat ears and you’re good to go! I added a few more accessories with the lace eye mask that came with the lace cat ears I found. But you could always just create an exaggerated cat eye with your makeup.
I absolutely love ’80s movies. And Flashdance is up there with one of my faves. I realized if I layered my comfy off the shoulder top over a bodysuit and added leg warmers, I instantly look like Jennifer Beals. The only black bodysuit I have is a thong. So I just paired a black tank with high waist bathing suit bottoms to create the same feel. Luckily I already had ballet dancer leg warmers from when I did ballet barre. But I included a $10 option for you below.
If showing that much leg makes you nervous, you can always create the same look with bike shorts (these are my faves) or leggings. And if you don’t want to invest in pink pumps (although I can confidently say I wear mine year after year!), you can do any color pointy pump you have in your closet.
I hope these ideas help you in case you want to stay comfy while still dressing up this Halloween!
