I spent the weekend in San Diego and it was so wonderful having full-on family time. I took a mini social media break (which I highly recommend) so I could be fully present. Our weekend consisted of a lot of food and dog time. It was just perfect, so much so that I decided to stay an extra day! I’m leaving after I write this blog post. I wanted to go to the Flower Fields, but we didn’t get a chance. So here’s a photo of my mom and I from last year. It’s such a magical place, definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you’re visiting San Diego!

#1 eyelet classic
Eyelet is a classic fabric that you can wear every spring, year after year. And you can’t get more timeless than a white button-down shirt! Combine both and you have a staple that you can wear for years to come. I love pairing my white eyelet shirt with white jeans. But I also wear it with blue denim, pleated skirts and any color shorts.

#2 easy brunch
I made egg bites for my past two brunches and they’ve been a major hit. The funny thing is, they could not be easier to make! I saw this egg bites recipe online and adapted it to make my own versions.
I switch it up with different meats and veggies for the outside layer. And I add different cheeses and spice for the inside layer below the egg. You just bake the egg bites in muffin tins and you have what looks like a gourmet brunch. This weekend I served them with deconstructed avocado toast by the pool.

#3 slide in
I was always such a heels girl. But this past year has created a love for flats. Now that it’s warming up, I’ve been eyeing different slide sandals. I love the contrast of these shiny black slide with the matte chain. It reminds me of my favorite YSL bag. They’re also super cute in the neutral color.

#4 sleeveless swing
After living in loungewear sets for what felt like eternity, I can’t wait to create a housedress collection. It’s basically going to become my warm weather version of sweatpants and hoodies. First up? I’m thinking this sleeveless swing dress. It looks so comfy and it’s such a steal! Plus, I’m still not over the tie-dye trend and it has a bunch of color options.

#5 wedding suspense
When the wedding of a stunning couple is planned off the coast of Ireland on a remote island that has no cell phone service what can go wrong? Apparently, everything. I thoroughly enjoyed living on the edge of my seat as I read about each wedding guest in this novel, who go from excited to scared as a murder is revealed.
