5 Things I’m Loving Right Now // No. 47

Sydne Style shows picnic at westlake village inn with girls in floral dresses

I just got back from a wonderful staycation in Westlake with my girlfriends. It was so nice to escape for a few days and unwind. We had picnics, drank wine and had girl time by the pool. I couldn’t think of a better way to recharge! Here a few faves I brought with me on the trip…

5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW

#pretty in pink

I’ve been experimenting with color on my eyes and fell in love with Mary Kay’s pink palette. The eye shadows are highly pigmented but muted enough to create a subtle colorful smokey eye.

#european staycation

My girlfriends and I had our staycation at Westlake Village Inn. It’s only an hour away from Los Angeles. But the minute you arrive, you feel like you’re transported to Tuscany. The luxury hotel has everything you need for a relaxing weekend from a spa, vineyards, delicious restaurants, two pools and wine tastings. I can’t wait to go back soon.

#versatile dressing

I have this dress in multiple colors because it’s one of the most versatile dresses I own. You can wear it with flats to brunch or wine tasting (like I did over the weekend). Or you can dress it up with statement earrings and heels like I’ve done in the past for fancier events. Bonus? It’s under $100!

#4 chic flats

I’ve been looking for a pair of barely there nude sandals for summer. And I found them in these strappy sandals. The square toe is very now and the footbed is slightly padded, making them super comfortable. I also like the adjustable ankle strap for added support. I loved them so much I also have them in white.

#cute mystery

It might sound strange to describe a mystery as cute but that’s exactly how Arsenic and Adobo felt to me. The story follows a young woman, Lila, who has moved back home to help her aunt run the family business. But when a local food critic dies at their failing restaurant, Lila becomes the prime suspect. She conducts her own investigation to clear her name. It’s full of laughs and I enjoyed learning about the author’s Filipino culture.
