Now that holiday season is in full swing, I wanted to bring you some holiday outfit ideas. One of my go-tos for the past few years has been a sweater and skirt pairing. It’s easy, keeps you warm and works for various types of holiday parties depending on how you accessorize. A monochromatic pairing (wearing the same color from top to bottom) is also slimming, which is definitely helpful for the holidays. This season, I’m loving crewneck sweaters with slip skirts.

I like to do a lighter sweater and darker skirt in the same color family. Wearing lighter on top brings the eye upward, which helps to minimize your bottom half. Plus, doing different shades of the same color makes it easier since you don’t worry about the pair being a perfect match. Having your dogs match in bowties is completely optional.
