Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week Trends: Art

Two years ago, watercolor prints were all the rage. But this season, designers were inspired by all sorts of art forms from large brush strokes to dip-dyed ombrรฉ and splattered paint. After his show, Patrik Ervell told me that his Hawaiin inspired colors were created by actually artists in Brooklyn!

I love this trend. The pieces are timeless, and will last you more than a season

Awesome post! What a great way of combining the parent and the sub-class of art, fashion. Fashion is one of the few things that expresses art as well as fashion does.
