My second show of fashion week was Tadashi Shoji. I’ve always been mesmerized by his use of feminine fabrics from lace to tulle. For fall, he added leather, fringe and the most gorgeous feathered ruffle details. I feel so lucky that he dresses me every season. Last fashion week, my faves were the embroidered blushes and whites. So I chose this incredible skirt to wear to watch the new collection, inspired by the beauty of flight.
I was inspired by the ongoing blush trend. I love mixing pale pinks with neutrals for an almost monochromatic look. To keep warm I paired the skirt with an oatmeal cashmere sweater—I bought before my trip for under $100!—and added taupe boots (a little cold weather tip: wear nylons underneath!).
I found this fuzzy jacket on super sale a couple of weeks ago when I was in NYC during the blizzard so I draped it over my shoulders and matched my skirt to my bag. To tie everything together I layered peach, beige and pink and crystal necklace to create a unique statement piece.
