Fashion Staple Used: Lace Trench
The trench is a classic. But it’s always re-invented. Sometimes with leather, sometimes with spikes and today, with lace. The delicate fabric makes the coat very feminine. I wore this outfit to a luncheon last week to celebrate Lauren Conrad’s newest collection. When I first got there it was on the cooler side so I left the jacket buttoned up. Lauren and I joked that it could be a sweet way to do the fantasy every man has of a woman showing up in a trench with nothing underneath.
Considering I was at a daytime event with all girls I obviously was dressed underneath! I wore a pleated skirt to give the coat a little more volume. Then kept it streamlined with a simple white top and neutral accessories. It was one of those last minute outfits I threw together when running late. Sometimes those can be your favorites.
