Fashion Staple Used: Lace Trench
A lot of you asked to see what this skirt from fashion week looked like with bare legs. When I got it, I knew I wanted to dress it down with chambray in LA. What I didn’t know was there was going to be a cold spell when I got home. I’m not complaining. At all. After my last two NY trips during a blizzard I hope all of you on the East Coast get some sunshine soon! The lower temperatures simply encouraged me to add an extra layer.
I started off the morning with my trench tied up, letting the blush lace peek through at the bottom. I love doubling up on fabrics like lace, leather or tweed. I always find it makes an outfit look more expensive. In the middle of the day, I simply draped the trench over my outfit, letting my rose gold jewelry show during my meetings. And by the late afternoon I put it back on, but left it open. And you could see how my pastel blue bag mimicked the soft denim color of my chambray shirt. That’s the beauty of a trench. It can take you from cooler mornings to warmer afternoons with ease!
