Summer Staple: The Maxi Dress

It’s on trend year after year and is so incredibly comfortable. I have so many maxi dresses for all different occasions. I just got this white one from an Australian label, Fame & Partners. I’m obsessed with theย embroidered details at the bodice and how it flows when you walk.

Since I’m on the shorter side, I prefer to wear platform wedges under my maxis instead of getting them hemmed. That way you look miles tall! When the weather gets cool, you can throw on a denim or leather jacket. And you can even turn the dress into a skirt by layering a crop top (see how I did that here).

    I confess I have a love/hate relationship with maxis. Here in GA it’s just so humid that the excess fabric can be a bit overwhelming. But because I love how they look, sometimes I just endure the heat and wear them anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚
