With summer in full swing, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what to wear for vacation. So today I wanted to talk about road trips. What do you wear on a summer road trip? Well, the number one key is comfort! This weekend I headed out to the desert for a girls getaway. Since we were entering 100 degree weather I wanted something that would keep me cool. A romper seemed like the perfect choice.
I went with a lightweight denim romper. It’s loose, sleeeveless and the roomy shorts are long enough so your legs don’t stick to the seat. To give it a little shape I added a thin leopard belt. For shoes, you can’t go wrong with the slip-on trend. You can kick them off while you’re in the car then easily put them back on when you make a little pitstop for some In & Out. I love the E is for Espadrilles trend. These have a platform, which give you a bit of height.
Another road trip must? A weekender bag! I like canvas ones because they’re lightweight and easily squeeze in any space. Since we were going to the desert, I though an Aztec print fit right in. I also asked my music blogger babe, skyelyfe, to put together a road trip playlist. She recommends going with universally fun songs to keep you upbeat on your travels. Keep reading to listen.
