Holiday Party Time in Teal

Sydne Style - Los Angeles fashion blogger Sydne Summer shows what to wear to a holiday cocktail party in self portraitDuring holiday season, I love wearing jewel tones. I’ve already shown you holiday party outfit ideas in standard Christmas color gems: emerald green and ruby red. Another jewel tone I adore this season is teal. Pantone (aka the color authority in fashion) named it one of the top color trends of the year, calling it Biscay Bay. The blue-green looks great on every skin tone and hair color.

I fell in love with this teal midi dress (it’s 20% off through tomorrow morning!). The sheer lace makes the longer length easier to wear since it’s see-through starting mid-thigh. I played with transparency throughout my outfit, adding my favorite clear plastic pumps. And the great part about a bold jewel tone is you don’t need too many jewels! Just a few dainty pieces of jewelry and you’re good to go.
