With Fall just a month away, I’ve been slowly introducing new items I can pair with basics in my wardrobe. Today I teamed up with Stein Mart to show three trends that you can start wearing now. The best part about these styles is they’re all super affordable! Stein Mart has incredible deals 24/7 on all their merchandise, including some of my favorite designer brands. All the pieces I’m wearing today easily transition from summer into fall.
Stein Mart is also hosting a sweepstakes right now through September 4! They’re giving away three $1,000 shopping sprees so you can update your closet for the upcoming season. You can find all the details on how to enter on steinmart.com/style/.
Exaggerated Hemlines
An easy way to make an outfit look fashion forward is with an exaggerated hemline. Take this tunic, for example. It’s incredibly comfy but the high-low hem takes it from a basic to a statement. For now, I paired it with sandals and a white purse but later I’ll add a cropped leather jacket and knee-high boots for a downtown chic vibe.

Neutrals
The neutrals trend is continuing from summer into fall. What’s great about neutrals is you don’t have to worry about being matchy-matchy. All shades mix together beautifully as long as you play with different textures like knits, silk and suede. A faux suede vest is a versatile way to show off the trend. For now, pair it with a tan tank. Then as it gets colder, layer it over an oatmeal ribbed knit.

Plaid
Plaid isn’t exactly groundbreaking for fall but it’s a trend you can’t help but love. To make it modern, I try to find more unique pieces, like this draped button-down top. A brought out the red with a cute cross-body then gave it a casual vibe with comfy booties.

Typically not a big fan of the exaggerated high-low trend, but you’re making me reconsider.
Falling in love with all three outfits!
