I’ve been pinning like crazy on my Valentine’s Day Pinterest board. One trend I noticed were celebrities wearing hearts on their clothing: everyone from Diane Kruger matching her red Chanel bag to a striped heart tee to Kylie Jenner adding a pop of color to an all-black outfit with heart sneakers.

The hearts with playful love eyes are from the Comme des Garçons Play collection. There are an assortment of shirts, sweater and sneakers featuring the fun design, which is perfect for Valentine’s Day! I included my favorites below but if you don’t want to spend $98 for a t-shirt than you can simply use the designs for inspiration. That’s what I did with today’s super easy Valentine’s Day DIY project.

Heart Shirt DIY

1. Order heart iron-on patches online. I bought red ones but they also come in black, yellow, pink or multi-color. Pay attention to sizing. I accidentally ordered large ones first so I had to exchange them for the smaller 1.5 inch love eye patches.
2. Place the heart on a button-down shirt or tee.
3. Iron on the patch. If you don’t have an iron (I’m embarrassed to admit this but I don’t own one!) you can use a hair straightener. I simply held down the patch with my hair iron for 20 seconds to secure it.
4. And you’re done! Show off your celebrity inspired look however you want to wear it this Valentine’s Day.
