With Cabo, Mexico being such a short flight from Los Angeles, it makes for the perfect beach getaway. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at the Marquis Los Cabos Resort & Spa. From the minute we pulled up to the sun-soaked lobby, I could not stop uttering the same phrase: “Wow, this is so gorgeous!”
I put together a photo diary of our stay to give you a feel of the resort. But the photos don’t even do it justice. It’s remarkable! The white building set off with the blue sky and teal water is breathtaking. Here are highlights of why I loved the hotel so much:
- Adults Only: As much as I adore kids, staying at an adults only resort is pure relaxation. Whether you’re there with your partner of friend, it truly allows you to escape from reality.
- All-Inclusive: I often shy away from all-inclusive resorts since I get nervous about variety. But Marquis Los Cabos has so many options that you never need to leave the grounds. We tried out three of the four restaurants during our stay (Italian, Japanese and Mexican). The dinner at Dos Mares was so incredible we ended up sharing an extra entree. That’s another bonus of an all-inclusive resort: you can keep eating until your heart–and stomach!– are content. Even though we mostly hung at the pool and beach, there are also a variety of activities from water aerobics to salsa lessons throughout the day.
- Attention to Detail: I could not believe how attentive the staff were. For starters, everyone was a doll. My favorite response a waiter gave me when I asked to alter a dish was, “Why of course señorita, everything in Mexico is possible.” The staff was always there to please whether it was constantly checking if we needed another drink by the pool or keeping the grounds impeccable. It’s the little things that make you say wow, like always folded paper towels in the bathroom or remembering drink preferences without even having to ask.
- Views for Days: Each part of the resort is more beautiful than the next. There are picturesque nooks and crannies wherever you walk from the blue and white tile lining the poolside restaurant to the pink wall at the end of one of the infinity pools. And you can’t beat the view from the rooms! Each morning, coffee and pastries were delivered through a private cove in our suite so we could wake up and enjoy staring into the water before we started our day.
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The only bad part was when Naty and I had to leave. But I definitely will be going back. It was so pretty I ended up shooting a ton of outfit posts, so stay tuned for more pics in my Travel section soon!
