The Cannes Film Festival is one of my favorite celebrity fashion events of the year.  I rounded up nine of my favorite red carpet dresses from Cannes 2017 over on my Facebook page. The biggest red carpet trend I noticed was movement. Jessica Chastain and Uma Thurman sashayed down the red carpet in fringe while Julianne Moore, Naomi Cambell and Molly Sims opted for feathers.

I particularly loved Jessica Chastain in a lavender Givenchy dress at the Okja premiere. You may remember the other week I was inspired by lavender and yellow. But the purple color looks equally as beautiful on its own.

I brought a more casual version of the Cannes look to Soho, New York by going with a lavender midi dress that offers movement thanks to a flared hem. Fringe earrings gave it an extra playful spin. Another thing I love about this dress? The knit means no creasing, making it perfect for travel!
