Last week, the ShopStyle team invited me to Napa Valley. I hadn’t been to wine country for years so immediately jumped at the opportunity. Previously, I’ve driven up from LA. So it was super cool to be able to hop a quick flight on Alaska Airlines straight to Sonoma.
We stayed at Solage, an Augerge resort in Napa Valley. The hotel was incredible! I wanted to round up some of my favorite parts in case you’re planning a stay in wine country soon.
Cozy Spots Galore
My favorite part about the resort were all the cozy spots. I would sit by the fireplace enjoying a glass of wine while staring into the fall leaves. Fall is chilly in Napa but with all the fireplaces and heat lamps I often found myself without a coat while sitting outside.
Pretty Transportation
Each cottage comes with a bicycle, so you can easily ride around the resort. ShopStyle took it one step further by personalizing ours! Adding a basket of fresh flowers to the bikes made for the most gorgeous rides.
Incredible Service
I couldn’t get over how nice everyone was! My favorite moment was when I called for room service, I was told my breakfast would arrive at 8:26. It was there on the dot. I sipped green juice every morning but my friend said the gluten free lemon ricotta pancakes were to die for.
Delicious Drinks
We found ourselves hanging at Sol Bar throughout our stay. Being in wine country, the wine was obviously spectacular. But I ended up sipping cocktails more. They whipped up such innovative drinks! My favorite was a rose flavored cocktail. It was served over an ice cube with a real rose, fresh from Solage’s gardens.
An Instagram Worthy Spa
If you visit the spa, I highly recommend the mudslide treatment. You get to pick a signature scented mud and visit various rooms applying the treatment, resting in a salt bath and then relaxing in a sound chair. I had never experienced anything like it! The spa itself is also gorgeous. Between the white texture and blush accents, I felt as if my new apt was transformed into a relaxing getaway.

We always rent a car to travel around the city minimally, because we came on vacation ourselves, we don’t like excursions, and we are too lazy to walk))) So auto was the best option. This valley is truly a delightful place, I love wine very much and admire its history. Perhaps you also love the history of winemaking and I would like to recommend you to visit Portland wine tours . We were there just recently and we really liked it, there is an indescribable atmosphere
