The bathrooms were one of the biggest renovations in my new condo. I never liked my bathrooms. Both the master bath and the powder room had dark black countertops and dated brown tile. My new bathroom decor vibe is clean, white and bright. Here are the before and after photos and how we created the new white marble bathrooms.

The Master Bathroom

My master bathroom is pretty small. So we kept the general layout of the space. We made everything white to make it look bigger. My designer, Jean Luxe, and I played around with different tiles for texture. The floor and shower are different size white marble tiles and the decorative tile backsplash is a mix of glass and stone.

An oversize mirror helped make the space look larger, too. For the countertops, I went with quartz so I didn’t have to worry about any spills (it’s so easy to clean!).

The shower used to have a sliding door. But my designer picked out this taller glass door that opens out, which makes the shower itself feel bigger. I’ve always wanted a handheld shower head, so we worked with Ferguson to pick out the perfect finishings for a luxe hotel-like bathroom vibe.

The Powder Room

The guest bathroom, or powder room as designers like to say, is the space you can have a little more fun with your design. I fell in love with this shimmer wall paper, so we used it to add a touch of metallic to the space.

We matched the vanity to the master bath and did the same light fixtures. I also went with matching white marble bathroom accessories sets. My favorite part about the powder room is the flooring. Like the decorative wall in the master bath, it’s a mix of glass and stone. The pictures don’t do it justice. It shimmers under the light. I think I’ll have to do a Kira Kira shoefie to show how it looks in real life.
