I remember when I rarely used to wear flats. Then I got real. Part of it was out of necessity. I pulled my back a few times and I couldn’t wear heels for weeks on end. But then I started really liking the casual vibe of flats…. and luckily so did everyone else. Flats took the fashion world by storm and now there are endless options.
Last year, kitten heels started to become a thing. While I like the look on taller girls, I just don’t find a skinny 1-inch heel flattering for my 5’3 frame. That’s why I’m loving Spring’s shorter shoe trend: the block heel pump.
These heels are generally around 2-inches, perfect for days when you want a little height but know you’re going to be on your feet non-stop. The chunky heel is a classy alternative to the stiletto. You can wear it with anything from jeans like me, to skirts and dresses, like Meghan Markle and Amal Clooney, who both have been wearing different colors of this shoe.

As somebody who’s very tall but still wants to feel feminine and not only be “stuck” wearing total flats and sandals only, I love kitten heels, they’re my “solution” to the problem. 😀
I’m loving your shoes, that heel is so cool!
I love kitten heels on tall girls.. if only I had some height lol
Those block heels are superb and so stylish Sydne 😉
Thanks so much!
