The ’90s just keeps getting more and more popular in the fashion world. Last spring, it was all about the belt bag, our modern version of the fanny pack. This spring, everything is like, totally tie dyed. Truthfully, I was iffy about the tie dye trend when I first saw it on so many runways at fashion week. I couldn’t help but think back to that scene in Cluelessย where a group of guys are walking in their baggy jeans, tie dye shirts and backwards hats and Cher is, like, totally buggin’ about what’s wrong with high school boys.
But there are really sophisticated ways to wear the tie dye trend this season. Take this pleated skirt that looks more like a piece of art. Or how chic is this acrylic bag, that comes in blue or pink tie dye? Tie dye certainly has come quite a long way since Grateful Dead days.
