When the weather heats up, I live in v-neck camisoles. I have them in so many colors, and always find myself adding new ones to my wardrobe whenever a new color is available. I usually wear them with a strapless bra but recently I’ve been trying out something new: layering a lace bralette underneath.
Having a little lace peek out underneath a camisole gives it a whole new look. Plus, bralettes are so incredibly comfy! And I’m not the only one who thinks so. When my photographer, Michelle, showed up to my house to shoot some blog posts I started hysterical laughing. She was wearing a lace bralette under a cami, too!
So I had Michelle take a break from being behind the camera and join me in today’s blog post. I gave her a pair of statement earrings (we were shooting for the blog after all!) and show off her layering skills.
I’ve been wearing this crochet lace bralette non-stop. I like matching it to my white cami and now I need to add more colors to my wardrobe so I can match it with my other camisoles. I’m all about matchy-matchy everything. I definitely see the black lace bralette under my black cami for a night one. I suppose I know what’s next on my list!
Michelle swears by this lace bralette. Since the lace is lower, it’s a more subtle way to have your lingerie peek out. So you can mix and match it with different colors. How cute is her micro stripe camisole? It’s no longer available online but I found a bunch more stripe cami options here.
Do you find yourself showing up to places in similar outfits as your friends? I feel like this keeps happening to me more and more! First it was Michelle, and then just the other day Jessica and I showed up to dinner in olive tops and black jeans. I did some research and apparently it’s a thing. I always found this cute quote on the matter:
Unintentionally wearing exactly the same clothes.
I’ve actually never shown up wearing the same thing as my friends as we all have very different styles from each other’s. The lace bralette peaking through is definitely something I want to try and I already have a couple of outfits planned, I just need to get a black bralette. It looks sexy but yet fun, especially if it’s in a fun colour.
What is the difference between a bra and a bralette?
