My LA Beauty Spots List

Sydne Style rounds up the best beauty salons in los angeles

I’m often asked about where I go for beauty treatments in LA. So I figured it was time to make a list of my favorite beauty spots. I’ve always been very loyal when it comes to beauty. The minute I find someone I love, I stick with them forever. Some people on this list I’ve been seeing for over 15 years!

{Hair}

Haircut: Sean at Juan Juan Salon

I’ve been seeing Sean since I was 16. He’s the owner of Juan Juan salon and I’ve always trusted him to cut my hair. I’m not too adventurous with my cuts, but when I am feeling like a change, I appreciate that he takes the time to talk me through what it will look like instead of immediately chopping. For almost 20 years now, I’ve been thrilled every time I leave his salon.

Hair Color: Kim at Kim Vo Salon

I met Kim when I was working at E! over ten years ago. I interviewed because he’s one of the top celebrity hair colorists in LA. I was instantly hooked to his vivacious personality. I was having really bad luck with my hair color, after many colorists made my brunette look brassy. So I tried Kim and have been seeing him for my color ever since.

{Beverly Hills} Montage Hotel, 225 N. Cannon Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 · 310.860.7854

Dermatology: Dr. Jessica Wu

In a world where everyone is starting to look like their own version of a Kardashian, it was refreshing to meet Dr. Wu. Unlike other LA dermatologists who scared me with expensive treatments that they insisted I just need to have, Dr. Wu asked me my concerns during my first visit. I told her I just wanted to keep looking young and asked what she’d recommend. I was so refreshed when she recommended the bare minimum, and continues to do so over four years later. We’ve done microneedling, lasers for sun damage and baby botox. I always trust her recommendations and her work.

Facials: Debbie at Skin Worship

I learned about Skin Worship through Instagram, after seeing the glowing faces of my some of favorite LA bloggers. I’ve been seeing Debbie for over a year now and love how the facials are completely customized to your current skin needs. Each time I visit is a little different, but it’s always one set price. If you’re looking for a spa day, this isn’t your place, as the facials are in an office building. But if you’re in search for a facial that really benefits your skin, with both immediate and long term results, I couldn’t recommend Skin Worship more.

Facials: Nicky at The Humble Abode Spa

I recently found The Humble Abode Spa and was just bummed it took me so long to discover it! Even though it’s on a busy street, it’s tucked away in back. The minute you walk inside you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and immediately feel zen. Nicky specializes in lymphatic facials, which are not only insanely relaxing but also act like a mini face lift. After just one session, my face feels tighter and lifted.

{Eyebrows}

Waxing: Tracy and Carolina at Anastasia Beverly Hills

Anastasia is another spot I discovered when I was working at E! as a fashion editor. My first visit, I interviewed the owner and could not believe how incredible my brows looked after she worked her magic. Since she’s responsible for the brows of almost every celebrity in LA, her schedule is packed. After trying out a few people at the salon, I fell in love with Tracy, who has been doing my brows for over nine years. I also like Carolina at the Beverly Hills location. And the brow care doesn’t stop at the salon. Their beauty products are some of my favorites, which I’ve talked about over on my beauty finds page.

{Nails}

Mani/pedi: InStyle Nails

I’ve gotten my nails at all different places, from fancy salons to hole in the wall spots. But for me, nothing compares to InStyle Nails. The salon is nothing fancy but it’s clean, friendly, the massage chairs are comfy and most importantly, they do an incredible job. I go to them for my mani pedis as well as gel manicures. I’ve never had anyone else do gels that last so long! If they’re available, I usually try to ask for Tina, Lisa, Sandy or Sally.

{Wellness}

Physical Therapy: Kinetix 365

My friend Jessica recommended Tarek at Kinetix 365 after a small injury left me with some back pain over a year ago. I was amazed by how after just one session of active release technique my problem was fixed. Unlike so many places that try to get you to keep coming back, Kinetix wants you to feel better as soon as possible. If your problem can be fixed in one or two sessions, they never make you feel like you need more. Most recently, I’ve been going to them weekly for my serious injury I had in September. We’ve been doing a mixture of ART, acupuncture and rehabilitative care. I don’t know what I’d do without them.

I hope this list helps you if you’re looking to book a beauty appointment! If I missed any categories you’re interested in, just let me know in the comment section below and I’ll make sure to add them.

    Thank you for sharing! For me, the stages of skin and hair care are the main ones. But it is important not only to choose a good care for your hair, but also to find a haircut that is right for you. However, there are https://wisebarber.com/ a lot of cool options for any type of face and age
