May I cherish what I have in life

I’ve talked about the comparison game before. Especially these days, when everything is posted for the world to see, it’s so hard not to compare yourself to others. I feel like every year I tell myself to stop comparing myself. This year, instead of using the word “stop,” which is a negative, I’m going to set my intention to a positive. I want to really learn the value of cherishing what I have in life.

No matter how successful you are, there will always be someone you feel is more successful. No matter how pretty you are, there will always be someone you feel is prettier. No matter how amazing your life is, there will also be a life you think is better. At least, this has been the case for me. In 2020, I want to learn to cherish what I have. I want to be thankful for my successes. I want to be grateful for the body I was given. I want to learn that even though my life isn’t “perfect” I am so very lucky to have the life that I’m living.

I’m actually really excited about Instagram likes going away this year. I think that will really help me, as well as so many other, deal with the insecurities of comparison. I’ve also found that keeping a gratitude journal helps with cherishing what you have in life versus wanting more. I’m going to really try to get back to my daily gratitude writings this year.

    Indeed a great message. When we cherish what we already have, we have less time to worry about what we don’t. I always try to talk to myself when I feel insecure and wanting more. I tell myself there will always be things I don’t have, but do I really have to own everything?! It works for me 😇

    @eview1 you look fabulous, as usual, your shots looks so professional, the background, your stance, how you show off the style of the dress, as well as how beautiful you look in your clothes. i would like to see more skin care that helps with anti aging, how to combat wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin with products and cosmetic procedures. i would like like to see things about how to help/combat with the aging process.
