May I find happiness where I live
I spent the first half of 2019 traveling non stop. I was barely home at all! Don’t get me wrong, I love traveling. I think there is no better experience than to learn about other places and cultures. But traveling can take a toll on the body. And it sure did for me. This year, and for years moving forward, I still want to travel. But I also want to find happiness where I am and practice loving where I live.
I chose to live in Los Angeles for many reasons. One, I came here in high school so it feels like home. Two, it has the best weather. And three, there are so many beautiful places. I don’t take advantage of my surrounding enough. There is a beach just 20 minutes aways (ok, sometimes 45 in traffic). There are mountains just an hour away. And there are museums, pop ups, events and all sorts of fun things happening every weekend.
This year, I really want to have more experiences in my own city. I already subscribed to a newsletter that updates you with local happenings. If you have any sites you’d recommend checking out that could help me in loving where I live, let me know!

but a new way of seeing things.”
Speaking of gorgeous places around Los Angeles, we took these photos at El Matador State Beach. It’s my favorite beach in LA. It’s never too crowded and has caves that make me feel like I’m in Cabo. I rarely go because it’s super far, north of Malibu. But shooting these sunset shots there reminded me that the drive is completely worth every minute. You can see more scenery from the beach, as well as what happened with all our red roses, over on my Instagram Stories!
