3 Beauty Hacks for Younger Looking Skin

Sydne Style shares beauty hacks for younger looking skin

When it comes to anti-aging, I’ll take any help I can get. The other week, I talked about why I love IPL treatments to keep my skin looking younger. Today, I’m sharing inexpensive beauty hacks for younger looking skin. These are three changes I made to my skincare routine that I think have major helped with keeping my face looking fresh.

Beauty Hack #1: Product Application

Have you ever noticed when you get a facial that they always apply products in an upward motion? It makes sense. Over time, gravity pulls down your skin, making it sag. So whatever you can do to keep skin lifted is majorly beneficial. On the smallest level (and the cheapest way!) this involves how you apply your products.

After talking with my facialist, I started getting into the habit of applying any and all face products in an upwards motion. This includes my cleanser, serums, lotions, oils, sunscreens… you name it! This simple habit switch will majorly help over time.

If you want a quicker fix, you can use a Nuface facial toning device. When I use mine routinely, I definitely see the difference. But to be honest, I’m so bad at remembering! Switching the motion I apply my products though? That has now become second nature.

Beauty Hack #2: Makeup-Remover

The most sensitive area of your face is under your eyes. I love eye-makeup remover wipes (they’re just so easy!). But I didn’t realize what a toll they can take on your skin overtime. I learned a simple trick: add a couple drops of Jojoba oil to the wipes before removing your eye makeup. The nourishing oil helps the pad glide over the skin, instead of tugging and pulling.

I got mine at Whole Foods but you can also order Jojoba oil on Amazon. It’s also organic, which is always a plus!

Beauty Hack #3: Nose blows

For the past 6 months, I’ve been blowing my nose like crazy. I finally learned the reason: I’m allergic to dust. Fun times! As a result of constant nose blowing, I started to notice more redness on the side of my nose, and even a broken capillary. My dermatologist said to mindful of how you blow your nose to prevent any future broken capillaries.

These days, when I’m sneezing over dust, I lightly hold the tissue as I blow. And then instead of rubbing the outside of my nostrils, I rub the inside. Obviously this is super gross to do in public (it looks like nose picking with a tissue!). But there’s no shame of doing it in private to prevent future skin damage.

I hope these beauty hacks for younger looking skin helped you! If you have any you swear by I’d love to hear them. Just let me know in the comments section below!

What do you think of coconut oil? I tried washing my makeup off with it. I am grateful for the advice about jojoba oil, it is interesting, I will try it as soon as I get it, I already made an order on the walgreens website, using a coupon https://www.couponlab.com/store/walgreens/. For me, facial skin care is very important now. during the pandemic, my skin took a break from cosmetics, which helped me restore it.
