To me, getting inspired by celebrities has never meant copying the look for less. Instead, I like looking for a touch of inspiration and then creating my own version of the look. For example, I might be inspired by a certain way to belt a blazer or a gorgeous color combination. With Meghan Markle, it was the latter when she stepped out in Vancouver wearing a camel coat and various shades of brown. See my Meghan Markle outfit inspiration below.
Like Meghan, I started with a tan turtleneck and camel coat (if you remember, a neutral coat was part of my winter capsule wardrobe). I wish I had a chocolate midi skirt like the Duchess of Sussex (it’s on my shopping list!). Instead, I achieved a similar neutral tonal look with cognac leather pants. The beauty of a monochromatic palette is you can really mix any shade and achieve the same chic vibe.
For meetings, I went with nude pumps (again, I adored Meghan’s brown heels but I went with what I had in my closet). And then for walking around I slipped into snakeskin ballet flats.
Speaking of celebrity style, I’m so excited for the Oscars red carpet this weekend. I always love seeing what everyone wears and getting inspired by their looks! I always do a roundup over on IG Stories and love when you vote with your fashion picks. I can’t wait to chat red carpet fashion with you!
