I don’t know about you but every time I look at a calendar, I can’t believe the date. I feel like this summer is just flying by! After a non-stop work week, I took a mini break on Sunday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was so nice to see a friend in real life. We kept our distance, more than 6-feet apart, in her backyard. And air hugs are my new jam.
When I’m not working, I’ve mostly been reading. I’ve been averaging a book a week so I have a bunch of book reviews coming up for you. In the meantime, here is one book I loved recently, as well as some more faves…
5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
#1 custom Stickers
I’ve been spending so much time the past month researching packaging for my new brand. One of my favorite resources has been Sticker Mule. They have so many options and they make everything so easy. Plus, they respond super quickly whenever I have questions. I ordered these circle stickers with my Sydne Summer logo to use on packages I send out for face masks and mask necklaces.
They also just came out with three new tools, Trace, Upscale, & Redraw, which make it really simple to create your own stickers. I can’t wait to try out the new tools to create some fun artwork to print out!
We just launched a new Sydne Summer mask necklace! I’ve been wearing my Pearl Gold mask necklace non-stop. When I wear it with my Black Dot face mask, I get all the Audrey Hepburn vibes. I also love the feminine combo of pairing it with the blush mask or how cute it looks with the cherry mask in our face mask collection.
I was on the edge of seat the entire time I read Camilla Way’s The Lies We Told. It’s a creepy psychological thriller that centers around the disappearance in a dysfunctional family. Every time I thought I knew what was going on, there would be a new plot twist. The surprises continued until the final chapter. My only warning about this book? Start it in the morning. Because you won’t want to put it down.
I’ve always loved the feeling of paper in my hand. Since I’m on my computer and my phone all day, there is something so relaxing about flipping through the pages of real books and magazines. I recently discovered Bookmarks, a magazine all about books! Every month, it has extensive reading list recommendations. If you’re a book lover like me, I definitely recommend checking it out!
Considering I still have not been able to get a haircut since lockdown began in March, my hair is longer than ever. As a result, my drains have gotten so clogged. Sorry if it’s TMI, but if you’ve experienced the same issue I just wanted to share this cool cleaning device my friend recommended. It’s essentially a long piece of plastic that has little spikes. You stick it down your sink or shower drain while the water runs and when it pulls out all the hair that has clogged the space. It’s really gross to see but super easy to use. And I prefer it over pouring chemicals into my house. Plus, it’s way cheaper than calling a plumber!
Please let me know either a phone number or a link as I would like to purchase face mask necklaces .I have been trying to look for the number to call to place the order but couldn’t find it .Looking forward to hear from you .Thank you
Therapy may differ from one person to the next, but the reality remains that many people require and desire it. With so much going on, there’s no way to get by without it. But the most important thing is to discover a resource psychologist who can assist you and who will not rely on your projections to develop the correct communication instead. Just such expertise can be located at https://www.linkedin.com/company/calmerry . I’m glad I went to see them. It was quite beneficial to me.
