I hope you’re having a great week! I cannot believe it’s already September. I really feel like Summer 2020 didn’t even happen. Usually I’m pretty sad when summer ends, since it’s my favorite season. But I have a few things I’m super excited about for Fall this year. I can’t wait to share them with you soon! In the meantime, here are a few faves…
5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
#1: soft hair
I love using hair masks one or two times a week for deep conditioning. I recently tried Pureology’s new hydrating mask and I’m obsessed! You only have to leave it on for about five minutes after shampooing your hair. And when my hair is dry, it’s so silky smooth. It’s especially good for color treated hair, which is great since I have been coloring my hair home since lockdown began.
L’Agence is one of my favorite denim brands. I wear their jeans all the time. So I was thrilled when they came out with shoes! I love all the styles but my favorites are the pointy pumps. You can never go wrong with a classic pointy pump. I remember seeing this floral print at their presentation during New York fashion week. And it’s even more beautiful in person than it looks online. The pump also comes in black and cognac.
Ever since I entered my 30s, I’ve made retinol part of my daily skincare routine. I recently started using Pixi’s eye cream with retinol and love the applicator so much! It’s super thin so it delivers just the right amount of product to dab under the eyes and brow line. And it’s really soothing as well. I use it nightly to help minimize my fine lines.
I can see why The Other Mrs. is coming to Netflix soon. It’s so suspenseful, which isn’t surprising since Mary Kubica is also the author of Gone Girl. The story follows a family who moves from Chicago to a small town in Maine after they inherit a home left to them by a deceased aunt. Shortly after they move in, there is a murder on the island and the main character, Sadie, is left to discover the chilling reality behind what really happened to her neighbor.
My migraines have been really bad recently. When my mom was visiting, she saw me using an ice cold can to rub on my forehead. She asked me why I don’t just buy an ice roller? Moms are always so smart! I remembered my friend Jamie showing an ice roller on her Instagram so I texted her for the link and two days later I had my own.
You keep it on the freezer and roll it on your face as needed. It majorly has helped my headaches. I also have been using it under my eyes to decrease puffiness in the mornings and before photoshoots. My only complaint? That I didn’t find this gem last year!
