“I burn for you,” Daphne proclaims to Simon in Bridgerton. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I highly recommend watching the juicy period piece that has taken the fashion world by storm. There is even a name for the style: Regency Core.
So what is Regency Core? It’s extremely ornate fashion influenced by the royal looks of the 18th century. Think corsets, pearls, brocade, lace and pastels. Obviously there are very few occasions to wear an embellished empire waist gown. But you can easily do the Regency Core trend with a top. If you pair a royalty inspired with jeans and pumps, you can burn for the era while staying in the 21st century.
There are three elements to look for in Regency Core tops: empire waists, corsets and puff sleeves.

I filmed an Instagram Reels showing one of each of the styles to provide some inspiration. I hope you like the looks and as the Queen says on the show, “stay flawless, my dear.”
