During my weekend Q&A on Instagram, I got asked about what is a good outfit for spring when it’s cool out? I immediately thought of two pieces of outerwear: a trench coat and a leather jacket. I’ve already done a few IGTV “Styling with Sydne” episodes on trench coats, so today I filmed one on five ways to wear a leather jacket for spring.

A black leather jacket definitely works year-round (I’ve been wearing this black leather jacket for over 5 years now!). But if your budget allows, I’d suggest investing in a light color leather jacket for spring. If you go faux, like my ivory leather jacket, it won’t break the bank too much. Plus, it never goes out of style!

Love these outfit ideas! Leather jackets are honestly one of those pieces that just work every spring. I like how you mentioned lighter colors too, because they feel way more season-appropriate than sticking to black all the time.
