I always notice that and try to compliment the person, so even if the date doesn’t go well, they don’t feel like they tried in vain.
I remembered something about girls and guys: girls always spend loads of time getting ready for a first or any date, while the guy just grabs whatever comes out of the closet. I can’t say it’s a huge deal for me, but it’s nice when someone makes an effort to look good for you.
