ttF Fashion Diary: NYFW Day 3

ttF Fashion Staple: Embellished Navy Blouse
A huge trend I’ve been seeing off the runway has been red lips. Mostly because it’s chic and on trend for fall. But as exciting as it is, fashion week is exhausting! And a red lip is the perfect way to draw attention away from tired eyes. At least that’s why I chose bold lips this morning. Plus, I liked the pop of color with my black, navy and white outfit. Since leopard clothing and snakeskin accessories are the most common animal print on the street style scene, I thought my zebra skirt (which you’ve seen quite a few times on my blog) would be a little different.

I kicked off the day with Jill Stuart’s whimsical collection, a mix of pastels and vivid brights, splattered with palm trees that made me want to book a vacation. And the heels were killer! Next, it was off to ADAM, which I got to watch from the American Express Skybox. I even got my outfit sketched, which you can see on the Amex Skybox Report. Designer Adam Lippes came up for a chat after the show and was a complete delight (watch the video here).

I ended the day with Vivienne Tam’s 70s inspired collection. The designer is a master at mixing prints and made me incredibly inspired to play with color and patterns in months to come.
