When it comes to summer trends I’m absolutely obsessed with flares. Wide-leg pants are so flattering for all body types. I like to wear high-waist ones to give the illusion that I’m not a shortie. I actually have these in two colors (here’s a post wearing the darker version). I loved how Ashley Madekwe styled her flare jeans in such a relaxed way. So I took inspiration from the Salem star for a similar casual look.
Polka dots are a fun way to bring in some retro style. I usually wear button-down shirts with long delicate necklaces. But I liked how Ashley did a thicker gold piece instead. I get a lot of questions on shoes to wear with flares. I personally like platform wedges. They’re super comfy and for me, it’s a great way to avoid going to the tailor to hem my pants. Plus they make you look even taller!
