DIY Costume Ideas: Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj “Feeling Myself”

Sydne Style - Los Angeles fashion blogger and People Stylewatch contributor Sydne Summer shows how to dress like Beyonce and Nicki Minaj for a last minute halloween costumeWhen googling best Halloween costumes for 2015, I stumbled upon Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself” music video. It was the perfect DIY couples costume idea. You only need a few key pieces and a fierce sidekick. So I enlisted my girl Taye and we transformed into the pop culture icons. Here’s what you need to create the look:

Fur Coats
Nicki and Beyoncé wore candy pink fur but any pale shade will do. There are so many fun faux fur coats so either grab one you already own or buy one that you can wear with jeans or leather legging this winter.

Bodysuits
There are lots of tutorials on how to DIY Beyoncé’s Bulls bathing suit with a Derek Rose jersey. And you can easily draw lipsticks and chains on a white bodysuit to recreate Nicki’s Moschino bathing suit. Or go the easy route and buy one.

Hair
For Nicki, simply attach a clip-in ponytail. To channel Queen B I used my RPZL hair extensions. All that hair makes for the best photo opps!

Jewelry
Pile on the friendship bracelets. Then for Nicki add gold hoops, chokers, bracelets for Nicki. And for Beyoncé wear gold statement earrings, a pendant necklace, rings and a gold flash tatt. 

Since they filmed the music video at Coachella, Nicki and B went barefoot in most of the video. For a night out, add booties, bring along a water gun and have fun!
