There were a few Oscars trends that you can take from the red carpet to real life. One is matching your makeup to your clothing. I loved how Olivia Munn went matchy-matchy with her orange Stella McCartney gown and bright lip (she actually used two shades to get the perfect color: Chanel Rouge Allure in “Excentrique” and “Pimpante.”

I took inspiration from the asymmetry of her dress and did a handkerchief hemline in a vibrant color. Then I used Bobbi Brown “Atomic Orange” lipstick and Marc Jacobs Enamored “Uproar” gloss to create a matching lip. The color is so bold, so I kept everything else simple with my fave nude heels, new braided clutch and gold ear jackets.
