I’ve been wanting a Gucci GG buckle leather belt for a while now. Over the holidays I was deciding between brown and black. But during my indecision they sold out. So for my birthday I went online to see if they were available and saw this blue leather color. I was obsessed and immediately treated myself. During the process, I contemplated a Gucci belt dupe.
Of course, it was backordered. So while waiting I bought a $35 faux leather dupe. The Gucci belt dupe gives a similar vibe to the thick Gucci belt and it’s reversible! Mine goes from red to black but it’s also available in black and tan. Considering you’re getting two belts in one that’s only $17 a belt!
After doing the math, I started debating whether to cancel my splurge. But I’m thrilled I didn’t. When it arrived I fell in love with the blue leather. It’s the perfect compliment to jeans and makes more of a subtle statement than the black or brown I originally considered.
A little tip if you’re investing in a Gucci belt: mind your measurements! I ordered the wrong size at first so had to exchange it for a larger version. It’s also better to go bigger so you can wear the belt with lower rise jeans. Gucci will add a holes in your belt at the store for free so you can wear it with multiple waist lines. Be prepared to see this belt a ton in upcoming months. Not only does it go with everything, I have to get that cost per wear value on my investment!
