I was recently invited to the Hilton Santa Barbara for a weekend staycation in Santa Barbara. I haven’t been to Santa Barbara in ages so I was super excited for a beachside getaway. My favorite part about the resort is that it is literally across the street from the ocean. I sipped my coffee on our patio and saw the waves across from the green lawn.

The hotel is in such a great location. You can walk or bike ride to the pier and into town or just go for a nice stroll after eating on property. As for what to wear in Santa Barbara, I definitely recommend brining a sweater or a lightweight jacket. It’s very cool in the mornings and warms up later in the afternoon. I brought a denim jacket to wear with my maxi dresses, tees and skirts and it did just the trick. The property is also super dog friendly. I can’t wait to go back with Jack Jack!

What we did

• Bike riding to the pier (you can rent bikes at the Hilton)
• Deep Sea wine tasting at Stearns Wharf
• Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show (it’s every Sunday along the water)

What we ate

• The Hilton has a ton of dining options. My favorites were the chicken sandwich at The Set and the Cioppino at Rodney’s Grill.
• For pretty outdoor dining in town, I highly recommend Loquita. Their paella was amazing!
• The Lark is also a delicious spot in town. It’s all farm fresh and in the Funk Zone, which is a great spot to go for drinks after dinner.
