Meghan Markle’s fashion has been majorly inspiring me recently. First she made me revisit my pleated skirt. Now Meghan Markle’s trench dress is having me rethink my trench vest.

I loved Meghan Markle’s blush trench dress she wore during an outing with Prince Harry. It’s from Canadian designer Nonie, and sold out immediately, despite the $1,000 price tag. I found a similar tan trench dress for only $27 if you want to recreate Meghan’s look.

As for me? I decided to revisit an old trench vest in my closet. I’ve worn this yellow sleeveless trench with jeans and a cami, over legging leggings and even layered over a black coat. But Meghan inspired me to turn it into a dress. By simply wearing it over a slip dress (just in case it got windy) and tying the belt securely, I was able to create a similar look in yellow.  Mine is sold out since it’s a couple years old.
